We think the table tennis table is the perfect place for people to come together on equal terms. Competing against each other and having a great time together – that's the idea behind "Ping Pong Palooza." Meet other table tennis fans from Neustrelitz and the surrounding area, compete against the pros, play for the win, or just relax and play at your own level. Just come as you are – it'll be great!
What is Ping Pong Palooza?
"Ping Pong Palooza" is a special (and especially fun) table tennis tournament. We invite you to the second-most colorful ball pit in town – to play, cheer, dance, juggle, and hold the ball up.
When and where will the tournament take place?
On July 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. at the premises of the German Foundation for Engagement and Volunteering (formerly the driver's license office). The grounds are easily accessible by car and bicycle (there's a bike path right up to the front door). We also offer a shuttle from the fairground to the location.
How does the tournament work?
We play in parallel in several groups on several tables. You may be familiar with the game principle from the Soccer World Cup. Whoever comes out of the group stage with the most points then plays against the best players from the other groups in a knockout system. The best two players of the day then play in the final to win the tournament.
What game categories are there?
You can compete in a singles tournament or in multi-generational doubles. Children up to 14 years old can compete in doubles with an adult (18+). Technically skilled children ages 10 and up can also participate in a singles tournament.
Can children play in the singles tournament?
Children who are good at playing can participate in the tournament scoring. We recommend a minimum age of ten for technically proficient children. Those who want to try out the table or just play for fun have the opportunity to do so at various game stations outside of the tournament scoring.
Do I have to be a table tennis professional to participate?
No, players of all levels are welcome. When registering, you can choose between two ticket categories, based on which we can assign you to a relatively easy or a technically challenging group.
Is there food and drinks available on site?
There will be some snacks, fresh waffles, fruits, cakes and drinks. Of course you are free to bring your own food and drinks as well.
How can I participate?
You can get a ticket here on the site and secure your starting place. As we have limited places, please be fair and return the ticket in advance if you are unable to take part.
How much does it cost to participate?
We want everyone to be able to take part. That's why participation is free.
